About CraftingStepByStep
Some things are easier to learn from a page than a video. You can cook with flour on your hands, fix a faucet with a wrench in one fist, or untangle a crochet stitch without scrubbing a video back and forth looking for the moment you lost the thread.
CraftingStepByStep turns the best how-to videos into clear written tutorials: every step numbered, illustrated with images from the video, and stamped with a timestamp so you can jump straight to the moment that matters. Follow along at your own pace, check off steps as you go, and pick up where you left off.
How our tutorials get made
Every tutorial starts with a creator who teaches well. We watch their video closely, write up each step in plain language, and pair it with screenshots and timestamps from the original. Then we review the result before it publishes and keep it updated after.
The creator always gets credit. Every tutorial names the channel it came from, links to the original video, and encourages you to watch it. If one of our guides helps you, the person who taught the skill deserves the view.
Who runs this site
CraftingStepByStep is independently owned and operated. No content farm, no outsourced writing team. One maker, a deep respect for people who teach things well, and a growing catalog of tutorials across cooking, crafts, gardening, home improvement, tech, and the everyday skills nobody teaches you.
How the site is supported
Some pages include affiliate links to products used in a tutorial, mostly through Amazon Associates and a few craft supply programs. Clicking one costs you nothing extra, and we only list the kind of supplies the tutorial actually calls for. Pages with affiliate links carry a disclosure right on the page.
Keep in touch
The best way to follow along is the Sunday email: one short digest of the week's best new tutorials, in the categories you pick. You can sign up from the homepage or at the end of any tutorial. And if you want to know what we do with your data (short version: very little), the privacy policy spells it out.
